Key Actions You Can Take Now to Support a
#BindingTreaty to #StopCorporateAbuse
Ask your government and politicians to support the Treaty
You can use this template letter as a draft - altering it to include whatever text you want to write to your government. The most relevant government offices would be the foreign office and the prime minister/president. You can also use the letter to ask politicians to publicly support the treaty process.

Connect with mainstream media
You can use the template press statement we've designed to help groups - change whatever information you like and be sure to include the reasons why a treaty is really important for your country (for example, include reference to any major well known corporate human rights abuses going on in your country). You can also use the press statement to ask parliamentarians to publicly support the treaty process.
Demand that your government stop corporate capture
Write to you Government to ask them to include a Conflict of Interest provision into the treaty that will help stop corporations wielding undue influence over states when they develop national laws and policies designed to protect human rights. You can use the draft template letter we have developed to help you develop the letter.
